Main duties of the job

To oversee the delivery of high quality, safe and effective care focused on improving outcomes and experiences for patients, families and carers.

  • Ensure safe patient care is delivered
  • Ensure patients receive exceptional personalised care
  • Lead and support a team of midwives ensuring that they have a PDR and clear achievable development plan
  • Ensure staff live the Trust values and tackle poor behaviour and performance
  • Be open, honest and transparent in all communication
  • Act as a clinical expert within sphere of work
  • Ensure effective use of all resources including staff
  • Ensure a culture of learning and quality improvement is embedded within clinical area
