An opportunity has arisen for a forward thinking and innovative Business manager to join the operational team within the St Mary's Hospital, Emergency & Same Day Emergency Care departments at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. As Business Manager you will have a key management role and be responsible for the operational delivery of all aspects of Urgent and Emergency Care. You will form part of the directorate leadership team, working in partnership with the General Manager, Deputy General Manager, Clinical Lead, Heads of Specialty, Senior Nurses, Finance and HR and will play a fundamental role in driving forward the divisions' vision for service improvement, quality and patient experience.

Main duties of the job
The Business Manager will report to the Deputy General Manager and will provide appropriate support to the General Manager, Deputy General Manager and the Chief of Service in the delivery of all operational functions a discrete section of the directorate. This will include overseeing the administrative functions within the department, and ensuring all key performance targets are met, and Standard Operating Procedures are adhered to. The Business Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the appropriate data is available, analysed and presented to support business decision making, forging the gap between financial and business management. The post holder will provide an increased focus on the delivery of streamlined, efficient services which are managed and benchmarked nationally and internationally. These roles will lead on the project management of the cost reduction programmes and organisational change. The Business Manager will deputise for the Deputy General Manager on all issues as appropriate. The Urgent and Emergency Medicine Business Manager will have operational responsibility for the Emergency Department and Same Day Emergency Care department on their respective sites.
