Fulfil your potential in hospitals that make history!
Thank you for your interest in the role of Business Manager to the Chief Operating Officer at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. It is an important and challenging role and one that I think will be both enjoyable and rewarding in equal measure.
On joining us, we will support you to achieve extraordinary things with extraordinary people. You'll be working with our teams to provide outstanding healthcare and to put the needs of our patients at the heart of all that we do and plan for.
We are an NHS Trust of over 16,000 people, providing care for over a million patients from north-west London and beyond every year. We have a rich heritage and an ambitious vision for our Trust's future and its role within the community, driven by our passionate commitment to provide the best possible care for our patients and population. With five hospitals on four sites, as well as a growing number of community and digital services across central and west London, our Trust is a place of immense opportunity if you are looking to develop or start your career in healthcare.
Main duties of the job
You will be supporting the Chief Operating Officer to fulfil all duties associated with the role, and to do so in a way that role-models the values that drive all of us who work here: Expert, Kind, Collaborative and Aspirational. I am looking for an individual who can take the initiative and seize the opportunities around them. The role will require a positive approach to learning and good analytical skills, and the ability to stay calm whilst working in the fast-paced and demanding environment of a large acute hospital trust. The chosen candidate will need to be able to provide comprehensive and proactive assistance to the Chief Operating Officer, including administrative, secretarial and briefing support, and lead on developing briefing packs and presentations. The successful candidate will also need to manage the competing demands on the diary of the Chief Operating Officer.
As we head into the new financial year, and all the opportunities and challenges that it brings, this is an excellent role to contribute towards the ongoing improvement of our Trust's hospitals and services, and to ultimately provide the best possible healthcare to those living in our population. Thank you again for you interest in the post, and I hope to have the opportunity to speak to you about it in more detail soon.
