Job summary
This post is a fixed term/secondment (from 19th May 2025 - 4th January 2026) which will provide an exciting opportunity to gain experience in medical education management. The postholder will manage a workforce development portfolio including workstreams that involve developing and managing local training programmes and portfolio pathways, international observerships, elective placements and the support of our specialty, specialist and associate specialist doctors along with our international medical graduates. They will also have a responsibility for managing the education team on the site at which they are based.
Working alongside a small team of Medical Education Service Managers each with a dedicated portfolio, the postholder will support the department to develop, maintain and achieve excellence in medical education across the Trust. They will manage the workload of the education team on their base site whilst working in conjunction with Clinical Leads and Training Programme Directors.
The postholder will be expected to actively promote the service profile of the education team across the Trust and to lead in the development and delivery of high-quality training programmes.
