Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the experienced expanding Legal team at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. The postholder will be required to provide high quality and comprehensive administrative and legal support to the Legal Department.
Main duties of the job
The Legal Services team falls within Corporate Development and works closely with colleagues across the trust to resolve legal issues and contribute to the governance structure. The main roles the team provides is:
Advice and representation at inquests
Input on clinical negligence and personal injury claims;
Medico-legal advice; and
Governance input on learning from claims and trends in the legal caseload.
All duties must be carried out within the scope of Trust policy and procedures. You must never undertake any duties that are outside your area of skill or knowledge. If in doubt, you must seek clarification from a more senior member of the Legal Services Department.
