Are you great with people, very organised, and passionate about patient care? Our Oncology Service is looking for a motivated friendly and confident individual with experience of working within a very busy and fast-paced patient facing environment to come and join our team.

We are currently looking to recruit a organised and dedicated team member to join our chemotherapy team to provide full administrative support. The post holder will be expected to be responsible and coordinate administrative workload and work closely with clinical colleagues and admin managers in order to ensure the continuity of good service for our patients at all times.

This is a great opportunity for an excellent administrator to develop and learn within a complex, fast-paced environment. You will have excellent team working, interpersonal and communication skills with the vision and enthusiasm to continually develop both yourself and the service. This post is offered on a part-time basis 9.00AM- 5.00PM Saturday & Sunday (15 hours)

Main duties of the job

  • Greet patients and visitors in a professional manner and in accordance with CPG and Trust policy
  • Check in/out patients in real time and ensure data is accurate
  • Book and cancel appointments including blood test bookings
  • Handle all paperwork associated with reception duties and ensure the area is maintained well and all paperwork is filled away
  • Ensure patients TCI are on the system and updated if there is any missing TCI's.
  • Contact patients by telephone informing patients about their procedure dates and time.
