Job summary

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Registered Nurse to join our outstanding, friendly and dynamic maternity team at the Lindo Wing Private Maternity Unit. The Lindo Wing have been providing premium private obstetric and neonatal care for mothers and their babies for over 75 years. Our international reputation has made us the choice of thousands of mothers including many royals and celebrities. We offer an unique service by a dedicated team of staff who provide a exceptional, traditional and individualised service with the backup provision of the NHS to maximise the safety of our patients.

Main duties of the job

  • To provide care to women and their babies in the operating theatre, maternity recovery area and postnatal war
  • Assesses care needs and develops implements and evaluates programmes of care working collaboratively with midwifery colleagues
  • Prepares and assembles theatre equipment and instruments when required
  • Ensures safety of the environment including stock levels and storage of equipment and medicines
  • Provides support to students/learners within the unit
  • Works collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team members in maintaining standards of woman centred care in relation to perioperative, postoperative and postpartum management while adhering to maternity policies and guidelines
  • Maintain a high standard of professional expertise to ensure safe and evidence based care is provided in specific area
