Job summary
The Maternity Recovery Nurse will play a critical role in providing high-quality care to patients in the maternity recovery area. This includes assessing care needs, developing and implementing care programmes, and ensuring a safe and efficient recovery environment. The role requires excellent clinical judgement and a compassionate approach to patient care, as well as collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Main duties of the job
- To provide care to patients in the maternity recovery area
- Assesses care needs and develops implements and evaluates programmes of care
- Responsible for maintaining asepsis postoperatively
- Ensures safety of the recovery environment including stock levels and storage ofequipment
- Provides support to students/learners within the unit
- Works collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team members in maintainingpolicies and standards of patient care related to pre and postoperativemanagement
