Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated and dynamic individual to join the Outpatients training team. You will provide training assessment programmes for administrative staff across Outpatients including Outpatient Access, Inpatient Access, Endoscopy, Switchboard and Outpatient clinics across all three sites at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. Conducting regular audits, supporting managers in evaluating trainees' performance are key aspects of this role.
To be successful in this role, you will have to be organised, proactive, and adaptable with a strong commitment to continuous improvement and high-quality training delivery. You will fully participate in the development and implementation of training programmes, ensuring they are effective and aligned with Trust standards.
The ideal candidate should be a confident communicator, capable of engaging diverse audiences and skilled in delivering clear, concise training sessions. You should be innovative in developing training materials, responsive to the needs of trainees, and dedicated to fostering a supportive learning environment.
You should be capable of learning and working with new systems as we continue to streamline and modernise, and be able to manage well under pressure and often in unpredictable circumstances.
Outpatients is undergoing a very ambitious Transformation Programme and you will contribute to the Programme as appropriate.
The post holder will be a key member supporting the Training Team. You will need to show a degree of flexibility and be able to think on your feet. Attention to detail is crucial, and the candidate must exercise discretion when dealing with confidential matters.
Proficiency in MS Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint is essential. If this sounds like you, we would be keen to hear from you.
Main duties of the job
- Organise and provide a training and assessment programme all administrative staff within the Centralised Outpatient Department.
- Undertake regular audits as outlined within the Patient Service Centre technology assurance framework.
- Design and delivery of user training for Trust clinical applications, including Cerner, e-RS, Rego, Patient Consent Management, DrDoctor, etc.
- Support managers with evaluation of trainees' performance via the department competency framework periodically and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain training materials for the Clinical Systems used in the Patient Service Centre and ICHNT Call Centre.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and Trust policies.
