Job summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Matron to lead our Patch Service team.

This position offers the post holder an exciting opportunity to lead the PATCH team "Providing Assessment and Treatment for Children at Home" teams across NW London.

This new nursing role aims to provide vision, oversight and collaborative decision making for the planning, delivery and expansion of PATCH services across all NW London urgent and emergency care (UEC) settings. The post holder will achieve this with support from the Virtual ward (VW) triumvirate and the Band 7 local PATCH team leads.

Main duties of the job

  • Lead, monitor and report on the performance of the service with data support from the wider team.
  • To support the provision of high quality, effective, individualised care to all patients that is compassionate and caring.
  • Work closely with the PATCH Team lead nurses and multi-disciplinary team members to monitor and maintain policies, standards of nursing care and staff development.
  • To ensure equity and access for the paediatric population across the NWL sector into PATCH
  • Take responsibility for reports that feed into local and sector wide boards.
