Job summary

Do you have previous Band 5 and/or Band 6 level knowledge of critical care nursing? Hold a UK recognised critical care qualification? Do you have experience mentoring junior staff and are you ready to take on a more senior role within our 27 bed capacity critical care department? This exciting Band 6 opportunity will develop your leadership and management skills within our proactive multi-disciplinary team. We will offer you the following routes to develop within our teams. In house shift leader development programme depending on unit speciality, education in the management of the neuro, trauma and cardiac patients with university accreditation. Access to the Trust leadership development programmes secondment opportunities into critical care outreach and critical care education teams Let your skills and experience shine in an environment where excellence is a way of life. Main duties of the job

  • To provide high quality, effective, individualized care to all patients that is compassionate and caring.
  • To assess care needs and develop,implement and evaluate them without supervision
  • Toassist in leading and monitoring the performance of the nursing team
  • To deputise for the Senior Nurse whenrequired
