Job summary
We're looking to recruit an accomplished and skilled user experience designer to join the Trust's newly established user insight and experience design team.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing and implementing our user experience strategy, and will focus on shaping user involvement, user research, and co-design approaches to support healthcare service design, and to improve experiences for a range of different groups including patients, staff and healthcare partners.
In addition the new post holder will have skills and expertise to project manage, coordinate and deliver priority user research and co design projects and programmes.
They will also be expert in providing guidance, advice and support across the organisation to help ensure all co design and user research work is delivered using best practice approaches. We require someone who is creative, and who has good graphic design skills, who is able to develop prototypes and present designs in the most effective ways. And, who has good writing and editing skills, and is confident in presenting and facilitating meetings and design sessions.
Main duties of the job
- The post holder will play an important role in the development andimplementation of the Trust's user insight and user experience design strategy.Their focus will be to ensure a strategic user involvement and co design approach in healthcare service design and to improve experiences for different users, including patients, staff and healthcare partners.
- The post holder will play a lead role in developing and delivering user researchand co-design strategies to support the Trust's services and functions, and willbe responsible for project managing and coordinating delivery of priority userresearch and design projects and programmes.
- The post holder will provide guidance, advice and support across the organisation to help ensure all co design and user research activities aredelivered using best practice approaches. And to advise how best to connectexisting insight data into improvement and transformation work (at varyinglevels), in a consistent and effective way.
- The post holder will take the lead on designing and delivering user research, codesign, and delivery of user-led improvements for priority projects.
