Main duties of the job

As an Endoscopy Decontamination Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and cleanliness of our endoscopy equipment. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Cleaning and Decontamination: Thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting endoscopy equipment following established protocols and guidelines.
  • Inspection and Maintenance: Conducting regular inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure it is in optimal working condition.
  • Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of decontamination processes, equipment maintenance, and inventory.
  • Compliance: Adhering to all health and safety regulations, infection control policies, and quality standards.
  • Team Collaboration: Working closely with the endoscopy team to ensure timely availability of decontaminated equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar role or in a healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Knowledge of decontamination and infection control procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols.
  • Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills.
