Main duties of the job

ICT Trainer Extraordinaire:

  • Empowerstaff with IECCP training, from newbies to pros.
  • Craftand deliver engaging training for Trust clinical apps like CCS and Cerner.
  • Createand maintain top-notch training materials for Clinical Systems.
  • ChampionICT use across the Trust, boosting staff effectiveness and learning.
  • Supportthe IECCP Programme Team with new module and system training.
  • Evaluatetrainee performance and take action based on results.
  • Enhanceservice quality through innovative training solutions.
  • Developcomputer-based training programs.
  • Assistthe ICT Training Manager with detailed, accurate training reports.
  • Aidthe ICT helpdesk with in-depth application software knowledge.

Role Overview:We are seeking a dynamic ICT Trainer to support the implementation of the Trust Care Coordination Solution (CCS) as part of the NW London pilot for the national Improving Elective Care Coordination Programme (IECCP). This role is crucial in enhancing equity in access, reducing elective backlogs, and maintaining efficient elective pathways.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Training Delivery:

    • Deliver IECCP training from basic to advanced levels.
    • Design and deliver training for Trust clinical applications, including CCS and Cerner.
    • Create and maintain engaging training materials, including quick reference guides, lesson plans, exercises, assessments, and presentations.
    • Develop and deliver custom courses to meet specific business needs.
    • Simplify complex ICT information for individuals with learning barriers.
  • Communication and Relationships:

    • Foster effective working relationships with all users.
    • Communicate complex ideas and issues clearly and effectively.
    • Participate in team meetings to review and improve service quality.
    • Assist with public relations and marketing activities.
    • Promote Clinical Systems training to Trust staff.
  • Support and Development:

    • Support the IECCP Programme Team with new module and system training.
    • Evaluate trainee performance and take appropriate action based on results.
    • Contribute to the development of computer-based training programs.

Experience

Essential

  • Substantial experience in designing, developing and delivering
  • IT based training (including "one-toone or classroom" style)
  • Production of user guides and training hand-outs.
  • Strong MS Office skills with ECDL advanced or equivalent.
  • Clinical Systems training and experience

Desirable

  • Experience in delivering Cerner training
  • Training experience within NHS
  • E-learning development experience

Qualifications

Essential

  • Educated to degree level in a Computing / IT / related subject

Desirable

  • Formal Training or teaching qualification
