Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced dietitian to become part of the dynamic and proactive cardiac prevention and rehabilitation (CP&R) team based at St Mary's and Charing Cross Hospitals, both part of the Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.The CP&R programme provides high quality, evidenced-based care to patients who have been discharged from hospital, including patients with cardiac disease, heart failure as well as those with an implantable cardiac device.
You will be a registered dietitian with relevant clinical experience. You will need to demonstrate an understanding of the management of primary and secondary prevention of cardiovascular disease. You will also need to demonstrate an awareness of cardiac rehabilitation and prevention. You will need to be very enthusiastic about this area of work as well as being self-motivated, possess good organisational skills, and be able to work alone and as part of a team.
In conjunction with the multidisciplinary CP&R team you will be responsible for providing expert clinical practice. The post holder will also act as a resource to other professionals on cardiovascular disease and associated treatments and issues.

Main duties of the job
To contribute to and participate in the development and delivery of the dietetic component of the cardiac rehabilitation service across Imperial College NHS Trust. This post covers outpatient clinics and group education sessions. There is also a requirement to be part of the team in running exercise classes when necessary.
