This post would be ideal for a motivated, enthusiastic candidate(s) wanting to gain experience in both general and sub-specialty Neurology in a regional neuroscience centre. The contract will be for 12 months.
The post involves care of neurology inpatients, a multitude of sub-specialty outpatient clinics, acute neurology liaison service and weekly academic and neuro-radiology meetings. The post holder will be expected to participate in the on-call rota, which includes neurology and resident stroke thrombolysis/thrombectomy duties.
Main duties of the job
This post would be ideal for a motivated, enthusiastic candidate(s) seeking to gain further experience in both general and sub-specialty Neurology in a regional neuroscience centre. This is a substantive role, for which the prime location will be Charing Cross Hospital, Fulham palace Road.
The key objectives of this role include:
1. Gaining training experience with secondary and tertiary level epilepsy care (inpatient and outpatients)
2. The development of new clinical pathways for the management of blackouts and seizures
3. Improving pathways for first seizure diagnosis and management
4. Training in home video telemetry (both EEG and seizure semiology)
The candidate will gain experience with obstetric neurology patients and will be expected to attend the weekly academic and neuro-radiology meetings, and monthly valproate review clinic and complex epilepsy meeting.

- Appropriate Royal College Membership (MRCP) or equivalent
- Full registration with the GMC with a licence to practice
