Job summary
We are a team comprised of motivated and skillful Consultant cardiologists, Cardiac Physiologists, Associate practitioners, Cardiographers and Cardiac nurse specialists looking for a caring and hardworking band 3 Cardiographer. We will also consider a person without any experience but is willing to learn and develop within this role, full training will be provided.
As a band 3 cardiographer you will be expected to perform ECGs, fit 24hr ECG monitors and 7 day ECG monitors. Fit 24 hour blood pressure monitors and 12 lead ECG holters
The successful candidate will be based predominantly on one site but will be expected to rotate to the other sites as and when required.
The working hours are 09:00- 17:00 Monday to Friday 37.5hrs per week. Flexible working hours can be discussed.

Main duties of the job
To be competent in performing the following range of clinical-technical procedures / techniques:
Routine resting 12-lead Electrocardiograms: Record / Analyse / Recognise and act upon clinical significance / Interpretion
Cardiac exercise ECG Stress / Tolerance Testing: Assist with patient preparation
7-day Ambulatory ECG Monitoring - Cardiac Event Recorders: Fit / Remove / Analyse
24-hour Ambulatory ECG Monitoring - 'Holters': Fit / Remove
24-hour Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring: Fit / Remove / Analyse
Resuscitation: BLS - Initiate / Assist - CPR / Defibrillator operation
Disinfecting: Environment / Equipment
First-line clinical equipment troubleshooting & maintenance: Requiring basic knowledge of normal equipment function
Recognition of significance of findings: Taking appropriate action on outcomes
Prioritising clinical needs: For investigations / procedures
To undertake a range of routine non-invasive electrocardiographic techniques and procedures carried out within the Cardiac Investigations Service.
