Job summary
The key purpose of this role is to provide operational management to the purchasing office, ensuring smooth day to day running of the section. The post holder is supported by a band 7 Pharmacy Technician, and will deputise for her in her absence.
The Pharmacy Purchasing Team at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust consist of a team of pharmacy technicians and pharmacy purchasing officer and are responsible for the purchasing of medicines for all 4 inpatient dispensaries and stores. They play an important part in the provision of care to our patients.
Main duties of the job
- To support the Chief Technician, Purchasing in the effective procurement of medicines
- To manage the day to day running of the purchasing office on the Hammersmith Hospital site, ensuring staff purchase medicines in line with Trust procedures.
