Hammersmith Hospital is ICHT's specialist hospital based in East Acton and renowned for its strong research connections. It offers a range of services including renal, haematology, cancer and cardiology care, and provides the regional specialist heart attack centre.

We have an opportunity for someone to join our team in the Cardiac Cath Labs and Day Ward as Band 3 Healthcare Support Worker.

Main duties of the job

Our Healthcare Support Worker will have a breadth of knowledge across the patient journey from scheduling to admission, and discharge providing holistic and person centred care and support.

You are expected to be professionally accountable for own actions and to work within the guidelines, policies and procedures of Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.

You will provide support and individualised care to patients, relatives/carers in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, in line with local and national targets.

You will support our nursing team and cath lab management to ensure that the needs of our patients are placed at the centre of our service delivery.
