Job summary

Surgery and Cancer Directorate are seeking a dynamic, proactive and highly motivated individual to join the Outpatient administrative and clerical team. You will be an integral member of the team providing effective day-to-day clerical support to facilitate the smooth running of the department.

Our outpatients team provide a wide range of specialist and general services for adults. The majority of our services are based at St Mary's Hospital. We also offer some services at Charing Cross, Hammersmith and Queen Charlotte's & Chelsea hospitals.Duties include but are not limited to answering the telephone, intercom, meeting and greeting staff, patients and visitors, filing, and general clerical duties such as booking of appointments. The post holder is also expected to work in conjunction with medical records guidelines, with the movement of case-notes around the Trust, the provision of, and preparation of and maintenance of patient case-notes and maintaining up to date electronic records.

We are looking for candidates dedicated to delivering excellent patient experience, who are comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Main duties of the job

To provide effective and efficient clerical and reception support to a designated clinic or clinics, ensuring that administration processes meet the needs of all service users.
