Job summary

Our neonatal service is the largest neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) service within North West London and provides care to high risk, critically ill neonates, and integrating the family into care is one of our guiding principles. This supports parents in becoming partners in care, participating in providing active care for their baby with the help of competency based training, support and education.

As a QIS, qualified in specialty nurse you would join the Neonatal Outreach team working across both our hospital sites and in the community. We are looking for a skilled nurse to join the Outreach team to develop your skills in assessing and planning discharges. Our family centred approach supports early discharge for all babies being discharged from our Neonatal units including those with complex needs such as home oxygen and Naso-gastric tube feeding.

In addition, we can support you through MSc/post graduate pathways and advanced leadership training with coaching to continue your development as a leader within your chosen specialty.

With five world-renowned hospitals, we are full of opportunity for nurses looking for progression to further develop skills, get involved in quality improvement and collaborate with leading paediatric and neonatal teams. Your training and education is our priority. Our nurses benefit from having a full-time lead educator to support clinical facilitators and we actively encourage post-graduate funding applications.
