Job summary
Managerially accountable to the Commercial Director, the Director of Services and Patient Engagement is responsible for the day to day operational running of the Private Care division at Imperial NHS Foundation Trust and the delivery of the annual operating/financial plan. The role along with the Director of Business Development, the Director of Nursing and Midwifery, Clinical Director and Finance Business Partner forms the senior leadership team (SLT) of Private Care. Working with both the Private Care senior team as well as Divisional and Corporate colleague's this role will help deliver operational, commercial, strategic and quality targets, as well as ensuring we deliver outstanding patient, consultant and staff satisfaction in everything we do. Private Care and the Trust have a very stretching ambition for the continuing growth of our private healthcare business.
Main duties of the job
- Be accountable for the operational performance of the division on a daily basis. This will include accountability for the delivery of high quality patient care, excellent standards of customer service, convenient access to services and delivery of financial targets, and working with the Divisional Director of Nursing and Midwifery to ensure that robust clinical governance, patient safety and clinical quality objectives are met.
- Manage the Private Care site leadership teams, administration and billing teams as well as the Hospitality services whether in-house or provided by a third party organisation.
- Responsible for Consultant engagement and development to ensure we are an attractive proposition for Consultants to want to do their private care with us.
- Lead on implementing Private Care service developments, including major capital projects, working closely with the Head of Programmes and senior colleagues to deliver developments and new services on time, on budget and to the level of service quality expected by private patients.
- Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to shape and implement the future strategic business objectives of Private Care.
- Support the Senior Leadership Team to align Private Care more closely with all divisions through the development of appropriate links with the senior divisional clinical and managerial staff.
