Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated imaging assistant to join our Nuclear Medicine team at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. This is a part time role for 15 hours a week fixed term until July 2024.

The successful candidate will be based at Charing Cross Hospital within the PET CT department, helping to assist the radiographer and technologist team in a busy and fast paced imaging environment. The department is open Monday to Friday between 07:30 and 19:00 hours.

The duties will include a wide range of clerical and patient facing tasks to help with the efficient running of the service and to ensure our patients receive a high standard of care.

The post-holder should have excellent communication skills, enthusiastic and adaptable to be able to work as part of the team. Experience in a clinical environment and patient care is desirable but training for the role will be provided to the successful candidate.

The successful post holder would be joining an exceptional team who have shared values and consistently strive to provide high quality patient care. We work collaboratively with other multidisciplinary teams to improve our service, as well as supporting staff to develop their skills and confidence within the department.

Main duties of the job

  • To assist and support the Radiographic, Technical, Nursing and Medical staff in the assigned area with the delivery of patient care and support services.
