Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Specialist Surgery Directorate for a Programme and Business Manager for Breast Screening, based predominantly at Charing Cross Hospital.
The role will provide programme management support to the WL Breast Screening Programme, based within Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. The role will also provide business and performance management support to the directorate operational management team in relation to Programme KPIs and Cancer performance standards, aswell as managing a number of staff within the service.
These role is crucial to the operational running of the programme and as such the successful candidate will need to have some experience as an NHS manager and/or have proven experience of managing patient pathways to meet key access targets. A solid understanding of the NHS is essential, as is a good standard of project/programme management experience.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who can balance conflicting priorities and undertake a number of projects across the service. Having experience in managing administration staff, budgets and a range of operational performance targets will be beneficial.

Main duties of the job
The Programme and Business Manager will report to the Deputy General Manager and will provide appropriate support to the General Manager, Screening Director, Superintendent Radiographer and Directorate Clinical Director in the delivery of all operational functions of a discrete section of the Directorate.
The post holder will be the responsible Programme Manager for the Breast Screening service. The programme manager has responsibility for the non-clinical operational running of all aspects of the local breast screening service. The programme manager works closely with the director of breast screening and may be the first point of contact for PHE (programme and SQAS teams) and local commissioning teams.
