Job summary
We are looking for a self-motivated Estates Capital Senior Project Manager with experience within the NHS and or Healthcare sector to be part of our Capital Projects team. Having at least 5 years experience in a similar environment and role with a strong track record with the delivery of construction projects, you will be a highly motivated, experienced team player with excellent financial and communication skills. You will have experience of working with multiple stakeholders to develop schemes, with responsibilities for procurement, control of design teams and be accountable for financial performance, programme and quality delivery.
The Estates Capital Projects Team are responsible for the delivery of the physical environment aspect of the Trust's capital programme whilst achieving the objectives and visions of the organisation. The main challenge for the post holder will be to implement projects whilst minimising the operational impact on the Trust teamed with developing systems/processes to ensure best practice is adopted for all tasks undertaken.
Main duties of the job
- You will be qualified to a degree or master's degree level, and have at least 5 years experience as a Project manager within the Construction or healthcare industry.
- You will have experience of working in a high demanding environment with strong Project management experience with the ability to prioritise your workload accordingly
- You will be responsible for the day to day management of whole project, contractors, consultants and the delivery of the project on time and on budget
- You will show the ability to Manage the relationship with external suppliers and ensure the operational requirements are met so that the scheme delivers the agreed output specification and commissioners/users' requirements.
- You will have the experience to producing project scope of works, specifications and plans and show the ability to report on your projects using specific project documentation, highlight and checkpoint progress reports, quality assurance reports, and risk/issue management logs.
- You will have a sound knowledge of cost management and reporting on capital projects, from production of budget estimates to Outline Business & Full Business case costings, cash flow forecasts and monitoring and reporting on your project commitments, costs and forecasts.
- You'll support best practice, looking for ways we can continually improve our processes,methodology and performance and relish the challenge of working as part of a close team to drive project delivery across this large and complex Trust.
