An exciting opportunity has arisen with the Oncology and Palliative Directorate for a band 7 Unit Manager (Oncology Day Unit) based in 6 West here at Charing Cross Hospital. Do you fancy a change and an excellent leadership opportunity ?

Main duties of the job
This post is responsible for the continuing assessment of care needs, the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of nursing care and the setting and monitoring of care standards on an in-patient ward or ambulatory outpatient department. The post is responsible for the management of the ward/department, including deployment and performance of staff and teaching of students. The post is responsible in collaboration to ensure that the nursing service works within the CCC Clinical Governance framework and that all nursing care is evidence based. The post will provide specialist advice regarding radiotherapy and chemotherapy complications to the multi-professional team within CCC and to external agencies such as other hospitals, GPs and community services.
