Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for candidates to apply for the role of Pathway Administrator within the Bladder & Renal Team at Charing
Cross Hospital. The successful post holder will be primarily responsible for sheduling flexible cystoscopy appointments, and providing
administrative support to the bladder & renal team.
The Imperial bladder & renal service entails a number of high volume pathways. This post holder will work as part of a large multi-disciplinary team
to support in ensuring a smooth patient pathway and a high quality patient experience.
Due to the nature of the post it is essential that the post holder is highly motivated and organised with an ability to prioritise and problem solve in a
busy working environment. Communication is key for this role and it will be expected that the post holder can demonstrate an ability to
communicate with patients and staff across all disciplines. The successful candidate should ideally have some knowledge of the RTT , DM01 &Two Week Wait time standards.
Main duties of the job
- Scheduling outpatient flexible cystoscopies, a high volume urology diagnostic. The flexible cystoscopy clinics form an essential part of the Haematuria 2WW pathway as well as qualifying as a DM01 reportable diagnostic.
- Scheduling urology outpatient procedures including Transurethral Laser Ablation (TULA) for cancer and stent removal.
- Updating the manual urology diagnostic PTL.
- Responding to patient queries by telephone and email.
- This post holder works closely with the Advanced Nurse Practitioners for Haematuria to ensure that capacity is utilised effectively and that diagnostics/procedures are booked in the appropriate timeframe (including adhering to DM01, CWT and RTT).
