The role is an Band 8b Senior Finance Manager for Corporate Divisions within the Finance Business Partnering team. This secondment opportunity is available from mid October for 12 months.
This role will lead on managing a team of five staff, specific business cases which can be sector wide cases, the finance lead for Estates and some smaller Corporate divisions and deputise for the Divisional Director of Finance as required.
This role provides exposure and interaction with senior stakeholders across the Corporate divisions and with the divisional finance leadership team.
Main duties of the job
o To deputise for the Divisional Director of Finance at Divisional meetings and during the reporting and planning process as necessary
o To be the lead on reporting the monthly Divisional financial position to the Divisional Director of Finance including CIPs and income and expenditure forecast
o To be responsible for the coordination of the budget setting for the Division, providing quality assurance on the annual plans of Directorates
o To provide a high quality analytical and planning service to the Directorates and Division to support the delivery of an appropriate Financial Risk Rating as determined by the Financial Compliance Framework.
o To work directly with senior managers within the Directorates to develop 18 month rolling forecasts and 3 year plans.
o To provide assurance to the Divisional Director of Finance of the quality of historic and forecast financial information through completion of a comprehensive analytical review process.
o To lead the reporting of weekly financial KPIs and alert Divisional management of significant variances from targets.
o To be accountable to the Divisional Director of Finance for the adherence to Trust financial policies and procedures, statutory requirements and requirements from Department of Health, Monitor and the Trust Development Agency.
o The post holder must be qualified with a CCAB or equivalent qualification, and have significant experience within finance and be fully committed to Continuous Professional Development.
