Job summary
We are looking for a competent and confident Band 6 Cardiac Nurse to manage our out-patient clinic at the St Charles Health & Well-Being Centre in Ladbroke Grove. There will be opportunities to work across our clinic network in Maida Vale and Ealing.
The post holder will help to provide and support cardiac diagnostics as well as support Consultant and Specialist nurses clinics.
The successful candidates will join a friendly team who will help support their learning and orientation into the role. We believe this is a fantastic team to work with and look forward to having someone who will join us as we provide excellent care for our patients. The post holder will line manage Health Support Workers and be responsible for the day to day management of the clinic.
The post holder will need to be able to work autonomously as well as within a team. Therefore applicants will have extensive experience and knowledge of working within an acute cardiac setting and be an expert at ECG interpretation. The applicant will require good organisational and interpersonal skills. The successful applicants will be given appropriate training.
This is an interesting and challenging role. Applicants are advised to attend an Informal visit to understand the service better.
Main duties of the job
- The role will provide support for the existing community cardiology service across a number of community sites
- Work alongside the Cardiology/Respiratory MDT to provide diagnostics and outpatient services on the Community sites.
- Run 24hr ECG, 24hr Blood Pressure clinic and ECG clinics.
- Provide support for Cardiology/Respiratory Consultant and Specialist Nurses clinics.
- Attend relevant training and supervision to carry out roles and responsibilities of the role.
- Maintain accurate clinical observation/assessment of the patient and act accordingly
