The Patient Dining plays a vital role in the delivery of nutrition to patients, staff and visitors.

Main duties of the job
- The post holder will assist in providing a comprehensive catering service to Patients, Staff and Visitors in line with Hygiene Legislation, Environmental Health requirements and departmental Standard Operational Procedures in all areas of the Catering Department
- Provide a food service that is safe, and customer focused.

- To assist in the preparation of patient food in a hygienic manner following all instructions given
- Stock Rotation of food recording any wastage
- Keeping all areas clean and tidy
- Cleaning of kitchen/pantry/restaurant equipment, crockery, utensils and structure
- Assist with stock takes, checking in deliveries and putting away stock
- Delivering of catering supplies to wards, departments and call orders
- Filling in of paperwork e.g. temperature records, cleaning rota
- Assist the manager and supervisor to achieve health and safety requirements
- Reporting of faulty equipment or near misses
- Ad-hoc duties as and when required
