Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Trial Coordinator at Charing Cross Hospital, Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.
The postholder will be based within the Department of Vascular Surgery and will be responsible for assisting the Trial Manager in conducting a large NIHR-HTA funded multicentre, cluster randomised controlled trial.
Duties will include data collection (conducting remote follow-ups [via telephone and online] with study participants) data cleaning and other study-related duties as required.
This is an excellent opportunity for enthusiastic and motivated candidates wishing to develop their research expertise and to work within a friendly and supportive team. The successful candidate must be educated to degree level and ideally have previous experience of working on clinical trials, excellent interpersonal and team working skills, be able to work autonomously and manage a varied workload. In addition, the successful candidate will have excellent communication, administrative and IT skills and be supportive and open to new initiatives.
Main duties of the job
- To perform data collection activities to facilitate the follow-up of participants enrolled in the trial (via telephone and online)
- To perform data cleaning activities, including montoring the electronic database for missing data.
- To assist the Trial Manager in the overall conduct of the study, including assisting with site set-up, monitoring visits and administrative activities (including the creation and maintenance of the Trial Master File and Invesigator Site Files).
