Job summary
The role of RIS PACS Senior System Analyst / RIS PACS Senior Radiographer is an exciting post in the Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust Imaging Department. The role supports the Imaging system users, Imaging IT Managers, IEP and Diagnostic Cloud Administrators and RIS PACS radiographer housekeeping team. The RIS PACS Senior System Analyst / RIS PACS Senior Radiographer will help maintain and develop the department's digital imaging and information systems.
We require a dedicated and enthusiastic individual who can help develop and be involved in making the changes required to meet the current and future imaging needs for Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. You will have appropriate experience in RIS PACS system support and or radiographic experience with working knowledge of a RIS PACS environment.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work as a RIS PACS Senior System Analyst / RIS PACS Senior Radiographer (dependent on qualifications) in the Imaging department, providing technical and administrative support to Imaging's IT systems as well as assisting the RIS PACS Manager with problem solving, database maintenance, systems testing and training of staff.
The post holder will lead on testing of new or updates to Imaging related software, new RIS, PACS versions and also new systems or ways of working which may be implemented to improve data throughput, such as Teleradiology, Clinical Collaboration Platform, North West London Image Sharing programme, Cerner code upgrades and connection of other 'ologies' to PACS/VNA with support from the Imaging IT Manager(s).

Essential
- Diploma or Degree in a Health Sciences or IT-related field, or demonstrably work to an equivalent level.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
Desirable
- Prince 2 (or equivalent) Foundation level qualification
- BSc(Hons) Radiography, DCR(D) Diploma of the College of Radiographers or equivalent

SKILLS/ABILITIES

- Have a comprehensive knowledge of RIS and PACS technology and where these technologies fit in a Imaging Department.
- Knowledge of DICOM and HL7
