Job summary

  • To assist and support the registered nurse, under supervision, with the delivery of direct patient care, with the needs of the patient at the centre of care delivery
  • To improve the patient experience

Main duties of the job

General Responsibilitie

  • To support the nursing team and contribute to the care delivery
  • Provide effective evidence-based care for patients within the department under the indirect supervision and delegation of the Registered Nurse.
  • To work closely with the multi-disciplinary team, including patients and families.
  • To promote a positive image of the Trust, Clinical Directorates and departments.

  • oAble to speak and write English to an appropriate standard to fulfil the job requirements.

Desirable

  • oQCF Level 3 in Health or equivalent (NVQ3, Advanced apprenticeship)

Experience

  • oDemonstrate a clear insight into the role.
  • oUp to date experience; worked within an acute care setting within the last 18 months.

Desirable

  • oPrevious recent care work experience in an acute NHS environment

  • oGood communication skills both oral and written.
  • oGood team working and interpersonal skills.
  • oDemonstrate ability to work on own initiative.
  • oAbility to demonstrate caring approach.
