As the lead technician aseptics education and quality, you'll be our go-to expert on training staff in all aseptic practices. You'll be supporting our aseptic apprentices and other junior staff to develop their skills in this area, as well as making sure we continue to develop and improve our aseptic services.
You will play a pivotal role, working within the aseptic unit within Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust at the Charing Cross and Hammersmith Hospital sites.
Our two aseptic units are staffed by enthusiastic and committed teams delivering a high number of doses daily across both sites to various specialities, including our rapidly expanding BMT unit, and one of only three gestational trophoblastic disease centres nationwide.
Our Pharmacy team are a large department of over 300 staff working across St Mary's, Charing Cross and Hammersmith Hospitals.
You will not only have the opportunity to explore and enhance your technical expertise, but you will also be a key member of aseptics management team. Main duties of the job
- Support learning and education across pharmacy aseptic services including all technical aseptic activities and use of the electronic quality management system particularly with regard to error investigation.
- To lead on the development of the Level 3 scientific manufacturing programme in aseptics

- Recognised pharmacy technicians qualification e.g. NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services
- Registered Technician with the GPhC
- Teaching qualification (PG Certificate Practice Education, HEE accredited Supervisor Training Course or equivalent) or willingness to undertake
- Evidence of on-going professional development within the clinical specialty
- BTEC or NVQ and 5 years experience or equivalent and significant experience to masters equivalent level (minimum 5 years experience).

- Management or leadership qualification or equivalent experience
