Job summary
To organise and manage day to day work, staff and facilities of the licensed QA microbiology unit.
To provide an efficient environmental monitoring service to the units.
To be responsible for training of staff working in the microbiology section.
To ensure that the facilities are operating within acceptable conditions.
Provide expert opinion to customers.
Main duties of the job
To organise and manage day to day work, staff and facilities of the licensed QA microbiology unit.
Liaise with Pathology staff to ensure that identification activities are conducted within agreed timeframe.
Investigate any out-of-specification (OOS) results in line with departmental procedures.
To carry out fertility testing of media received in the Quality Control Department.
