Job summary
We have an exciting position for a permanent 1.0 WTE band 7 Physiotherapist to work in the amputee rehabilitation service. We are looking for someone who is willing to go the extra mile where necessary to deliver and a clinician that follows their initiative. The post is based primarily at Charing Cross Hospital but there may be some cross site working across the Imperial College NHS Trust.
This post provides an exceptional opportunity for a dynamic and highly motivated physiotherapist to provide a comprehensive, patient centred, quality amputee rehabilitation and vascular/intermittent claudication physiotherapy service. Charing Cross Hospital has the Holderness Rehabilitation Centre on-site, with a Rehabilitation Consultant and prosthetic/orthotic team. The caseload is a combination of vascular and traumatic amputees.
This post will provide a fantastic opportunity for a physiotherapist who wishes to expand their clinical knowledge and skills in this very specialist area.
Main duties of the job
You will work with a team of physiotherapists including a clinical service lead physiotherapist, Rotational Band 6 physiotherapist and Band 3 physiotherapy assistant. You will manage a clinical caseload using an evidence based client centered approach to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions.

- State registration with the Health Professions Council
- MSc in relevant subjects or equivalent level of post graduate specialist training short courses
Desirable

EXPERIENCE
Essential
- Significant relevant, recent clinical experience in the management of patients who have had major lower limb amputation in pre-prosthetic acute rehabilitation and in prosthetic rehabilitation.
- Evidence of a broad base of clinical experience at Band 6 level
- Minimum of four years' experience showing broad clinical background including vascular and amputee rehabilitation.
- Experience of organising and implementing training programmes for physiotherapists, MDT members, assistants and students.

- Minimum of 6 months working as a senior physiotherapist in a UK NHS hospital
- Experience on UK emergency duty rota
