Job summary
The Care Information Exchange (CIE) is the personal health record (PHR) used in north west London. It allows health and care data relating to patients to be made visible across all health and care partners in the sector and gives patients direct on-line access to their clinical data and correspondence. The London Care Record (LCR) gives health and care professionals read-only access to information about their patients from health and care organisations across London. This is part of an innovative and exciting programme.
There is an opportunity to join the team at Imperial as a CIE project support officer to support the roll out of the PHR and LCR in the sector, and embed it in clinical services. This role will play an important part to supporting transformation of care process models and patient pathway development across the organisation and ICS, improving patient experience and outcomes.
Main duties of the job
The CIE Project Officer will have responsibility for supporting specific projects they are assigned to through their complete lifecycle.
As a project officer you will undertake administrative and organisational tasks relating to your assigned projects to ensure the projects run smoothly and in accordance with Trust project management processes. You must demonstrate organisational and administrative skills. An appreciation and vision as to how clinical and operational practice can be transformed and supported by electronic patient records and clinical systems will be desirable as is evidence of an interest and desire to have an impact in achieving this. The objective of this will be to reduce costs, improve process efficiency and to enhance patient safety and experience.
ICT aims to be able to understand issues from the user perspective and ensure the deliverables of the project are aligned with the stakeholder needs. Structured, systematic thinking to work to solutions is essential. You must also be able to articulate issues to and communicate with non-technical clinical and operational system users.
