Job summary
As the result of an internal promotion, an exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Central Investigation Team as an HR Case Manager (Investigator).
You'll be a curious, conscientious individual from a HR, management or legal background who has a keen interest in investigations and resolving workplace issues.
Main duties of the job
Your primary role will be to manage and carry out impartial, evidence-led employee investigations from beginning to end, agreeing the initial brief from the commissioning manager, drafting the terms of reference, planning the investigation and conducting it promptly and thoroughly. You will interview employees including any witnesses, take statements, keep all parties regularly informed and produce comprehensive investigation reports. In addition to establishing whether there's a case to answer, you'll also provide helpful suggestions around resolving issues, and learning from cases. Together with the other investigators in the team, you'll be a subject matter expert in this area, providing peer support and advice to other HR colleagues in dealing with conflict and misconduct.
