Job summary

The post holder will be part of the Maternity Diabetes Specialist Service providing Diabetes Care and Management to pregnant women /people and their family.This is a dynamic post that requires the post holder to work closely with multi-disciplinary team in addressing a range of care to women/people with Diabetes in pregnancy or Gestational Diabetes, preventing unnecessary hospital admissions and improving the health and wellbeing of women and their babies.

Main duties of the job

Be competent as appropriate to the requirements of the role of Diabetic Specialist Nurse.Demonstrate at all times the Trust Values.Be a Registered First Level Nurse with current NMC Registration and have a detailed professional and clinical knowledge. They will be a specialist practitioner and have a focus in Diabetes care and management.Be responsible for a defined population of service users in a variety of settings across the Chelsea and Westminster Foundation Trust.
