Job summary

We have the opportunity for a midwife to join our risk and safety team.

The role involves supporting the maternity team to understand compliance with local and national standards through clinical audit. This will ensure that every woman receives high quality care throughout their maternity journey.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will ensure clinical safety audits are completed in line with Saving Babies Lives Care Bundle V2 and the requirements of the Ockenden Report and NHS 10 point plan. Additional audits will be conducted to monitor the impact of agreed actions where themes for improvement are highlighted through the governance system. Audits of local guidelines should be monitored and completed and results and actions presented.

The Maternity Quality Improvement Midwife will liaise with other members of the multi-disciplinary team to support the delivery of safe high quality care.

  • Registered Midwife
  • Degree in Midwifery or related subject
  • Mentorship qualification
  • Evidence of continued professional development

Experience

  • Experience in risk management investigations
