Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Gynaecology Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team based at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital site. We are looking for an enthusiastic and able Clinical Nurse Specialist. You will join an existing team providing high quality clinical and personalised care to patients.
You will be a forward thinking, organised and highly motivated individual, who enjoys working with medically and socially complex patients. You will manage your own caseload and will be well supported by the multidisciplinary team.

You are expected to work independently triaging new referrals and have a defined clinical caseload as part of the gynaecology oncology team.
As CNS you will support patients with a new diagnosis of cancer and provide ongoing support with managing their symptoms and assessing their holistic needs.
You will act as a central point of contact for patients, carers and health professionals in the community and tertiary referral centres.
Working autonomously, you will assess patients who are admitted as either a planned or an emergency admission as a consequence of their cancer or treatment, recognising those who should be escalated to a senior member of the team.
You will attend MDT and PTL meetings in accordance with local guidelines.
You will work collaboratively with the Gynaecology-Oncology CNS team at the Cancer Centre to ensure patients receive seamless care along the integrated cancer pathway.
You will support the Consultant Lead with the development and review of evidence based local guidelines and the management and maintenance of policies for the service.
