Dean Street Services is Europe's largest Sexual Health and HIV Service, part of Chelsea and Westminster NHS Foundation Trust. Based in Soho, we are an extremely busy service seeing approx. 600 patients per day. Much of our work is focused on services for the LGBTQ+ community and that is reflected in the diversity of our staff.
We operate services across three sites in Soho, with a team of over 140 staff from a clinical and non-clinical background. Due to the size of the service, we have created this new Stores Coordinator post to best support clinical teams in the day-to-day operation of the service whereby you will be responsible for ensuring required levels of stock and equipment in all clinical areas to facilitate a safe and efficient service with the clinical teams.
The successful candidate will maintain the clinical area stock items to agreed levels, following a schedule of count, delivery and shelf/clinic room replenishment. To place ad-hoc orders with NHS Supply Chain as and when required. To place ad-hoc requisitions for non-stock materials management lines as and when required in compliance with agreed product rationalization and standardization.

Clinical Responsibilities:
- Operate NHS Supply Chain eDC (electronic data capture) materials management syste
- Use NHS Supply Chain Online ordering system and hardware (hand held bar code readers) within agreed budget
- Use eProcurement systems for non-stock materials management (according to location) and any new systems as developed within agreed budgets
- Support the Supply Chain and Service Manager with establishing and maintaining optimum stocks level
- Support the introduction of modular clinic storage, and with the labelling of shelves
- Identification and removal of excess or redundant stock
- Count, deliver and put away clinic and department stock (NHS Supply Chain products
- Manage stock rotation, stock movement and circulate and remove all non-moving lines across the Trust
- Carry out non-stock materials management where necessary, as agreed with your Line Manager
- To take an inventory of supplies and record requirements to replenish shelves to agreed optimum stock levels.
- To ensure that clinic and clinical departments concerned have sufficient product lines to carry them over weekend and Bank Holidays
- To assist the Supply Chain Manager in maintaining summaries of issues toservice and in the provision of data for management purposes
- To assist Supply Chain manager and Clinic managers with the promotion of product rationalisation and reduce stock holding
