Perinatal Mental Health Midwife

Job summary
We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic midwife to join our established team.
The post holder will work directly alongside the perinatal mental health specialist midwife in a support role. The post holder will be available in the clinical area to support with perinatal mental health concerns, whilst caring for women and liaising with the multidisciplinary team to encourage seamless care and positive outcomes for women and their families.
Main duties of the job
As a midwife working with women and families with mild to moderate, and moderate to severe, mental health illness this role is to support Perinatal Health Midwives too.
Provide high quality, evidence-based care and advice to women and families.
Work in partnership with other health care professionals and liaise with other agencies involved in the provisions of maternity services and seek advice from the Mental Health Specialist midwife as required.
Where children's safeguarding is involved ensure that the interest and well-being of babies is protected, whilst continuing to provide women-centred, compassionate care and act as an advocate for mothers.
