Healthcare Assistant - Gynaecology Outpatient and Early Pregnancy Unit

Job summary

The primary role of the Healthcare Assistant is to assist, support and work in collaboration with the nurse, consultant and the wider multidisciplinary team; in order to provide a safe and holistic approach to patient.

The healthcare assistant will be working in gynaecology outpatient, early pregnancy unit covering different clinics, performing venepuncture chaperoning and assisting with outpatient procedure. We have various other clinics too, this include termination of pregnancy clinic.

This role involves 6 day service and will include weekend working and cross site cover.

Main duties of the job

The post holder is expected to have undertaken a set of defined competencies. This will include the gynaecology and early pregnancy unit one.

  • Ensure that all clinical documentation is accurately collected, updated, stored and filed in accordance with local information governance and record keeping policy and guidance.
  • Work closely with administrative staff in order to provide additional support to this service as required
