Anaesthetic Practitioner, Band 7
Exiting opportunity has arisen for a band 7 Anaesthetic Practitioner to join Main and Paediatric theatre team on the Chelsea site.
The appointed person will work along side the already in post band 7 Anaesthetic Practitioner and the band 7 Paediatric Theatre practitioner to support the anaesthetic team and the running of both Main and Paediatric Theatres .
Main duties of the job
- Use your knowledge and experience to act as a role model in clinical practice to the anaesthetic practitioner team (which currently consists of 2 x Band 7's, 15 x Band 6's and 15 x Band 5's)
- Have a curious mindto seek areas of improvement in the department and work on solutions that are both environmentally and financially sustainable
- Manage the anaesthetic team in line with Trust policies, such as: Probation, Sickness, Performance and Conduct (Disciplinary)
- Recruit staff as required and support their transition into the department by planning and facilitating an orientation programme that covers all areas an anaesthetic practitioner is expected to cover: Main Theatres, Paediatric Theatres, Burns Theatre, Labour Ward Theatres, Endoscopy, MRI, IR and CT
- Proactively work to retain staff by promoting and facilitating a positive, inclusive and supportive working environment, to the best of your ability
