Ward Nurse Treatment Centre Band 6
We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and adaptable individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who can work well in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for a kind and compassionate nurse who is keen to develop their leadership and management skills and support and lead a team in delivering high-quality care.
The post holder will be expected to lead a shift safely and effectively, deputise and take direct managerial responsibility for the clinical area in the absence of or as delegated by the senior sister/unit co-ordinator. The post holder will provide clinical supervision to other members of staff, students and may undertake research and clinical audits in the unit.
As a senior member of staff, you will be expected to support and supervise staff and students in the department and act as a role model for others. You will be expected to uphold high standards of care and maintain a safe and effective service in line with the NMC Code and the Trust values.
Main duties of the job
Key responsibilities include providing safe, high-quality care to patients in the perioperative environment: admitting patients pre-operatively, communicating closely with the theatre team, recovering patients (post-PACU), and safely discharging patients in a nurse-led discharge service. Working in line with national and Trust policies and guidelines, as well as the Trust values.
