Chelsea and Westminster Trust have developed a unique capital nurse rotation programme in partnership with health education England( HEE) This is an exciting opportunity for you to gain significant experience and knowledge. It will provide you with a great foundation to kick start your career in nursing.
The 2 years rotation will lay a solid foundation on which to build a successful career in nursing consolidating nurse training including preceptorship and leadership.
What opportunities will I receive ?
In the first rotation each capital nurse will undertake a comprehensive preceptorship programme which is run by our preceptorship lead. This involves 8 class room based skills days which consolidates learning within the first 12 months. There will be protected time to update progression and address any learning needs that are required.

Main duties of the job
To manage care processes for patients using multidisciplinary treatment plans/ protocols and provide nursing advice and care
To deliver care in accordance with the regulatory body's Code of Practice and is aware of the organisational and nursing strategy.
To maintain knowledge necessary to deliver a quality service that is responsive to the changing needs of the population.
To manage and lead the nursing team, both in a team leader and shift leader role, working within a clinical governance framework, to ensure high clinical standards and facilitate the development of individual team members.
To provide effective learning experience for pre and post -registration students and carry out induction for new staff.
