Job summary

Our Cardiac Catheter Lab team are seekinga motivated and enthusiastic Cath Lab Staff Nurse with a commitment to deliver high standard of patient care.

The department operates from Monday-Friday 0800 to 1800. Shift patternsinclude 0800-1800 and 1000-2000. You will be required to work 4 times a week to complete 37.5 hours.

You will be given an opportunity to rotate into the pre-assessment area, cardiac day ward and cardiac catheter lab theatre.

We have 1 dedicated Cath lab providing various minimal invasive and non-invasive procedures to both elective and inpatients such as Coronary angiography +/- Angioplasty, implantation of cardiac devices and Direct Current Cardioversion.

The post holder is expected to pro-actively participate in the planning, assessing, implementation and evaluation of patient care from admission to discharge.

Main duties of the job

To provide high quality care to patients undergoing a procedure in the cardiac catheter lab

To be able to achieve competency specific in the cardiac catheter lab

To be able to comprehensively take nursing history from the patients during pre-assessment.

To be able to manage group of patients pre and post cardiac procedure in the cardiac day ward.
