Job summary

We are looking for 1 wte to join our busy Maternity Unit/Antenatal Clinic at West Middlesex Hospital site. Main responsibilities will be checking e-mails, dealing with referrals/registrations of new pregnancies if working in Antenatal clinic. Manage the Reception areas, ensuring staff in this area are up to speed with all training, ensure the rota has sufficient cover and help out if and when needed. 1 full-time staff (37.5 hours per week). The successful candidate must be able to multi task. Important for successful candidates to be remain calm at all times.

The successful candidate will be working Monday-Friday but there must be some flexibility for cover at weekends/BH's and evenings. When working a weekend 2 days off during the week will be given in lieu of weekend work.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will contribute to the delivery of high quality, safe and compassionate healthcare to patients by supporting and welcoming patients into services in a way that meets their individual needs. The Patient Administrator will also provide administrative support to a team liaising between patients, doctors, practitioners and other healthcare professionals. The staff member will work consistently to provide high quality customer service and will be professional at all times.

Checking e-mails, referrals and registering new pregnancies, answering phones, manage Reception area, ensuring staff are up to speed with training etc/train new staff in the role.
