Job summary
This Band 5 post will have a nominated caseload of inpatient wards covering a range of areas including both medical and surgical patients within the hospital and will be involved in the outpatient general clinic service.In addition there will be specific insights and program of learning with active involvement into specialty areas.The post will be based at the Chelsea & Westminster Site, though there may be occasions where you will be asked to cover the West Middlesex site for cover or meetings etc.You will be a motivated team player with good time management skills and a commitment to evidence based practice. Main duties of the job
The post holder will be a clearly identifiable junior clinical staff member.They will have clinical experience, provide sound clinical knowledge and skills to their team and coordinate and deliver high quality care.They will be a role model for expert clinical care, and lead on specific projects as delegated by the Senior Acute Dietitian or Clinical Lead Dietitian.They will role model the identified Trust values at all times.The post holder will work as an autonomous practitioner in providing dietetic assessment, treatment and management to their own designated caseload of patients and to maintain up to date dietetic records.They will use evidence based principles and current best practise to assess, plan, implement and evaluate dietetic interventions.The post holder will provide supervision, teaching and support to dietetic assistants and students on placement.
